Taxi

Taxis authorised by the Municipality of Macerata are white, have a red self-adhesive strip provided free of charge by the Municipality and have the display “TAXI” on the roof.

The symbol of the Municipality of Macerata is visible on the sides of the vehicle, the licence number is placed inside the vehicle on the rear door and they must have a second licence plate with “SERVIZIO PUBBLICO” written in black.

ATTENTION: Unauthorized persons could drive any other vehicle waiting at the airport exit and fare could be higher.

Bus and subway

The city’s public transport service is run by APM and allows visitors to get around easily thanks to its network connecting the entire city. A fleet of 28 buses, 27 of which run on natural gas, travel over 1,000,000 km annually along 12 lines and transport over 2,850,000 passengers.
